Financial Statement Engagements (Audits, Reviews and Compilations)

At Rizzo & DiGiacco, CPA’s, we individually tailor each audit, review, or compilation engagement to meet the specific needs of each of our clients. It is this approach that allows us to deliver more than just a financial statement and report at the conclusion of an engagement. In fact, we operate under the premise there is no conclusion to our attest engagements as we work with our clients throughout the year to implement sound business strategies. Through well-planned and properly conducted audits we are able to provide our clients with valuable recommendations to improve operational efficiencies and internal control weaknesses and to take advantage of business opportunities. We document these recommendations and advice in written reports provided to our clients with each set of financial statements. We pride ourselves on our ability to think “out of the box” to provide our clients with ideas that help maximize wealth. Our approach has made us a profit center for our clients.

Our professional audit and accounting services team complies with all industry guidelines and regulatory pronouncements, as well as auditing, attestation, compilation or review standards. Our audit experience spans a number of industries including:

  • Construction
  • Manufacturing and Distribution

Employee Benefit Plan Audits

Performing an employee benefit plan audit requires a specialized team of professionals, not audit generalists. According to the Department of Labor, filing deficiencies, and their associated costly penalties, often result from audits that fail to test unique areas of an employer’s plan. Benefit plan auditors encounter issues related to the Employee Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), tax matters and typical audit concerns. Our professional staff, having conducted hundreds of employee benefit plan audits throughout their careers, tailors our audits and tests to your specific plan.

There is an enormous responsibility associated with being a fiduciary of an employee benefit plan. Our employee benefit plan audits are designed to provide our clients with peace of mind by ensuring their plans meet the numerous requirements of ERISA, IRS and DOL regulation. Our timely audits and recommendations allow our clients the ability to administer their benefit plans with confidence.
